We’re a small team. Deliberately so.
Specialist cleaning isn’t work you can throw bodies at. Every job we take on involves hazardous materials, sensitive situations, or both. That demands people who know what they’re doing. People we trust completely.
Our specialist cleaning team works directly for Bristol Cleaning Heroes. We don’t use subcontractors. Ever. When you book us, you get our people. Trained by us, vetted by us, accountable to us.
What Every Team Member Shares
Before anyone joins our team, they go through the same process.
DBS checked. Every person who enters your property holds a current Disclosure and Barring Service check. We work in homes during bereavements, trauma situations, and hoarding clearances. Trust isn’t optional.
IICRC trained. Our training follows Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification standards. That covers water damage restoration, biohazard handling, odour control, and more. It’s not a weekend course. It’s ongoing.
Biohazard competent. Every team member is trained to handle blood, bodily fluids, and other biological hazards safely. They know the PPE requirements, the decontamination protocols, and the waste disposal rules set by the Environment Agency.
COSHH qualified. Our people understand the chemicals they’re working with. They can read a safety data sheet, calculate dilution rates, and recognise when a product shouldn’t be used in a confined space.
Insured. Our full team is covered under our £2 million AXA public liability policy. No gaps. No exclusions for specialist work.

Why We Stay Small
Big cleaning companies scale by hiring fast and cheap. They send whoever’s available. You might get someone brilliant. You might get someone on their second day.
We don’t work that way.
Every person on our team has been with us long enough to handle the worst jobs without flinching. They’ve cleaned up after unattended deaths in Southmead. They’ve stripped mould from flood-damaged houses in Bedminster. They’ve cleared hoarding properties in Knowle West where the floor wasn’t visible.
That experience can’t be trained in a classroom. It builds over years of real work in real Bristol homes.
No Subcontractors
This is worth repeating. We never subcontract.
Some cleaning companies take on more work than they can handle, then farm it out to whoever’s available. You don’t know who’s turning up. They might not be DBS checked. They might not have the right training. They’re certainly not covered by the company’s insurance in the way you’d expect.
When Bristol Cleaning Heroes takes on a job, our people do it. From the initial assessment at your property to the final walkthrough, you’re dealing with our team.
Training Never Stops
The cleaning industry changes. New products come out. Regulations shift. Better methods replace old ones.
Our team trains continuously. IICRC certification requires ongoing education. We run internal training sessions on new equipment and chemicals. When the Health and Safety Executive updates guidance on biological hazards, our protocols update too.
We’ve been doing this for 25 years. We’re still learning. That’s the point.
